It was 1959 when Ottorino Baggio and Sergio De Sordi decided to embark on an entrepreneurial adventure that began with the production of chair frames, an activity that continued for a few years.
Later, thanks also to the intervention of Attilio De Sordi who introduced the young company to the top management of the electricity company, the first relations with the old SADE now ENEL began. Thus it was that Baggio & De Sordi were entrusted with the first jobs of a certain size.
In 1984, ENEL's procurement office (Venice Department) requested a tender and a study to unload the heavy ladders from the vans, leading to the development of the ladder rack sector.
Seeing the success of the system found (which has been constantly evolving ever since with the consequent filing of patents), customers began to ask for other solutions to the problems arising from transport on vehicles.
With considerable wisdom and courage, the two elderly partners left the company in 1993, leaving their sons to their own responsibilities in running the company, while remaining at their side to support and help them.
The first trade fair, which marked Baggio & De Sordi's entry into the national market for commercial vehicle fitting, was the 1991 INTEL in Milan. Here a range of components and accessories was presented, the evolution of which is still ongoing.
